Brussels fined Apple €1.84 billion ($2 billion) for stifling competition from music apps by imposing restrictions on the App Store, marking the first fine Apple has faced for violating EU laws. The original €40 million fine was amplified by a whopping €1.8 billion included as a deterrent, a first for EU antitrust bodies. Rwanda’s mineral export revenue has increased from $772 million to more than $1.1 billion, closing in on the target of generating $1.5 billion in annual mineral export revenues by 2024. The mining sector is currently the second foreign exchange earner, after the tourism sector, according to the Prime Minister’s report. Two bodies were found in a sideroad water gutter in Gikodo, Nyarugenge, following the heavy rain and thunderstorm on Thursday afternoon.
