1:55 Entertainment label has announced that Rwandan music star Bruce Melodie, signed under its management line, will appear on America’s renowned morning show ‘Good Morning America’ (GMA) on March 18, alongside reggae icon Shaggy.
This comes a few months after the two artists collaborated on the ‘When She is Around’ remix, which led to Melodie’s first successful US music tour, which reached the ‘iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour’ concerts in Miami and Dallas.
According to a statement released by the record label on Monday, March 11, Bruce Melodie’s appearance on the talk show is not only a personal triumph but also a moment of national pride for Rwanda.
“GMA’s extensive reach in the United States and around the world provides Bruce Melodie with a unique opportunity to introduce his unique sound to a global audience and further enhance Rwanda’s presence on the international music scene,” reads the statement.
According to the statement, Melodie’s GMA performance is also expected to open new doors and create exciting opportunities for him, while highlighting Rwanda’s vibrant music culture.
It’s not the first time the Rwandan star has appeared on a big show, having recently appeared on DailyMail and the Elvis Duran show, among others.
“Good Morning America’, produced by ABC News, is among America’s top morning shows and a titan in global broadcasting.
Since its inception in 1975, GMA has consistently topped the charts as the most-watched morning show in total viewers and key demographics since summer 2012.
The program offers an impressive mix of news, interviews, weather, and special interest stories, with a particular focus on pop culture and entertainment, making it the perfect platform to showcase musical talent.
Meanwhile, Bruce Melodies has confirmed that he will release his first album this year.
