You can\u2019t be out here holding on to that hoodie! Dressing for work, particularly for the office, during hot temperatures, can be daunting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it shouldn\u2019t be, at least not when SENS is here. With a few recommendations and tips to make your office-appropriate outfits comfortable throughout the heat wave, let us be your chaperone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dress<\/b>es:<\/strong> For the ladies,<\/strong> opt for lightweight breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. For instance, a knee-length or midi shift dress offers a professional look while keeping your cool. Similarly, wrap dresses are flattering and can be adjusted for comfort. All you have to do is make sure they either have short sleeves or wholly sleeveless for added ventilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tops and Skirts<\/strong>: When it comes to blouses, Silk or Cotton Blouses pair well with a pencil or A-line skirt. For the tops, ensure the fabrics are breathable to wick away moisture. As for the skirts, midi or knee-length bottoms that allow airflow should be the go-to. These can be pleated or flared skirts, since they are both stylish and comfortable.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tailored Trousers<\/strong>: Cropped trousers made of linen, or a linen-blend fabric are ideal for hot weather as they allow your ankles to breathe while maintaining a professional look. In the same way, wide-leg trousers provide comfort and ease of movement. Pair these with a fitted blouse to balance the silhouette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lightweight Blazers<\/strong>: For blazer lovers, choose unlined or partially lined blazers made of breathable materials like cotton or linen for a polished look without necessarily adding bulk and heat. These can include sleeveless blazers for a modern twist, especially if you will be rocking a sleeveless blouse or dress.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comfortable Footwear<\/strong>: Loafers and ballet flats are both stylish and suitable for the office. Additionally, you can look for breathable materials like leather or canvas, not forgetting open-toe shoes, peep-toe heels, or sandals with a closed back for a professional and stay-cool feet look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, opt for light colors compared to dark ones because the former reflects light rather than absorbs it. For example, white, pastels, and light neutrals are ideal for hot weather.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Layering wisely is also vital to staying comfortable in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures. A lightweight cardigan or shawl can be easily removed when stepping outside. When it comes to accessorising, keep it minimal because heavy accessories can add to the heat. In other words, opt for minimal, lightweight jewellery and avoid thick belts that can trap heat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, drink plenty of water or fluids to stay hydrated and help regulate your body temperature. And for those prone to chafing, especially when wearing skirts or dresses, using anti-chafing balms or powders to stay comfortable is the answer to your problem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
