A warning from the Rwanda Meteorology Agency, on Monday April 29th, announced that the first four days of May would be critical, with heavy rainfall expected in some parts of the country. Regrettably, the alert arrived a little too late after last weekend’s heavy downpour took the lives of a mother and her child from Bumbogo Sector, Gasabo District, due to their house collapsing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, authorities in Kigali urged people living in high-risk zones to relocate to safer areas.
