London (AFP) \u2013 In recognition of his standout performances for Chelsea this season, Cole Palmer has earned a belated call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the team’s last two Euro 2024 qualifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the unfortunate injuries leading to the withdrawal of James Maddison, Lewis Dunk, and Callum Wilson, Southgate has included Palmer in the squad along with Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa and Manchester City defender Rico Lewis. This trio will bolster the team for the upcoming matches against Malta and North Macedonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palmer, the Chelsea forward, showcased his prowess with a stoppage-time equalizer from the penalty spot during Sunday’s thrilling 4-4 Premier League draw against Manchester City.
