Rwanda’s top gospel music star, Israel Mbonyicyambu, also known as Israel Mbonyi, will, once again, rock Brussels in a mega concert scheduled for June 8th, at the Dome Events Hall. This follows Mbonyi’s last year’s sold-out show in the same city where thousands of Rwandan music lovers gathered at the Birmingham Palace to witness his live performance.
The ‘Icyambu’ hitmaker said that his upcoming solo show was moved to a bigger venue after tickets for the previous venue, especially VIP seats, sold out months before the show.
However, he noted that all tickets from regular to VIP are now available and ready for grabs and that the new venue can hold almost double the number of people that would fit in the Birmingham Palace.

For Justin Karekezi, the brains behind the event, in more than 13 years of organizing shows, he has never seen a concert sell out 24 hours before the show until Mbonyi performed in Brussels last year. A move that demonstrates how big the artist is internationally.
“We are well prepared and ready to produce a proper show. It’s going to be massive,” said Karekezi, adding that people should buy tickets as early as possible before they sell out.
After Europe, Mbonyi will embark on an East African tour that kicks off in Uganda on 23rd August.
Mbonyi is back on stage after enjoying a masterstroke of his previous album, which includes hits like ‘Nina Siri’, which has received 44 million views on various streaming platforms and is one of the top five most viewed Rwandan songs on YouTube.
The song, composed and sung in Kiswahili, won the hearts of music lovers from Swahili-speaking countries, including the former Vice President of Kenya, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who recently posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) singing and dancing to the song.
“Nina Siri” received 30 million views on YouTube within six months after its release, marking another achievement for Mbonyi in Rwanda’s music scene. He is also the first local artist to sell out BK Arena twice.
Tickets for his upcoming show go as much as €50 for VIP seats and €30 for regular.
Mbonyi remains the dignitary Rwandan gospel artist who has sold out some of the biggest venues in the country and abroad, with successful music tours on various continents.
